HATTIESBURG HOME CARE
RN is a member of the patient care team within the Department of Home Health and is directly accountable to the Patient Care Manager. The position requires that the individual be clinically competent. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. The RN duties include assessments and resassements of patients on an ongoing basis, initiating plans of care and making revisions as needed, demonstrating appropriate nursing skills and rehab and preventive nursing procedures. The RN prepares documentation of patient care and notifies MD of any changes. RN counsels patient and family in meeting needs. RN participates in inservice programs as applicable.
Demonstrate ability to perform wound care for patients using wound VAC and trouble shooting equipment as needed. Demonstrate ability to oversee mediction admininistration in the home setting by peripeheral and IV pump administration. Demonstrate ability to to enter all patient charting in EMR.
Education: Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required.
Work Experience: Minimum one year medical/surgical nursing or equivalent preferred.
Certification/Licensure: Current license to practice in State of Mississippi required. Current certification in CPR required. Current Mississippi drivers license and proof of automobile insurance required.
