Examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.
MinimumEducation: Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program approved by theNBRC.
A minimum offive years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare settingrequired.
Must be currently licensed by the State of NM as a Respiratory CarePractitioner.
Must beregistered with NBRC (RRT).
Basic LifeSupport (BLS)
NeonatalResuscitation Provider (NRP)
Requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimalsupervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and takeappropriate action.
