A Phlebotomist performs a variety of venipuncture techniques involved in the collection of blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides administrative support in the distribution of laboratory results.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate from an approved Phlebotomy School/Program
Phlebotomy certification required within 6 months of employment.
Experience in phlebotomy preferred.
CPR certification required within 4 months of employment and must be current at all times thereafter.
