This position is for a paramedic whose responsibility is to perform all duties necessary to administer advanced first aid treatment and to transport sick and injured persons to medical facilities. Provides care to the neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Responds to potential life threatening situations or illnesses. The position reports through the following chain of command: Shift Supervisor, Operations Coordinator and Director of EMS/Emergency Management. See departmental organizational chart.
1. Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a Paramedic program preferred.
Formal Training: Paramedic clinical competency preferred.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Georgia certified Paramedic; Current Georgia Drivers License; BLS; ACLS; PALS; and PHTLS. Within 90 days of employment, employee must have National Incident Management System Incident Command System IS- 100, 200, and 700 training.
Work Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.
Special Conditions: The ability to relate to people in situations involving more that giving and receiving instructions.
