The Department of Pediatrics seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team by providing mental health services to patients and families.
This position will provide services primarily in schools located in Harrison, Nicholas and Scott Counties, will require travel to Lexington.
Position duties include but are not limited to individual and group therapy, serving as a liaison to community partners and groups, educating patients and families on diagnosis, performing psychosocial assessments, completing appropriate documentation, assisting with funding support by assisting in applications for grants as they come available.
Provide individual and group therapy for adolescents and families based on the identified needs.
Must have experience working with children and adolescents with mental health diagnosis, including those with chronic medical and mental health conditions. Must be able to provide individual, family and group therapy.
Adolescent Medicine provides medical and mental health care, including reproductive care to children/adolescents from birth-24. Adolescent Medicine providers provide care to all children regardless of their race, religion, sexual or gender identity. Must be able to work with all patients/families who seek care in the clinic.
