Job Description

Responsible for directing the overall functions of Rehabilitation Services; coordinate and supervise operations of the department; administer physical agents prescribed by a referring physician; and maintain performance improvement activities within the department to ensure process efficiencies, customer service, and financial management.. Assure competency of all staff members; assist in formulating budget including growth strategies, evaluates department performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain within budget guidelines. Develop and implement system of reviewing department charges, ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Maintain efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Serves as the Rehab Agency Administrator for all Pella, Ottumwa, and Knoxville. Current state Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy licensure. Masters degree in Occupational, Physical Therapy, Healthcare or Business, from an accredited institution or equivalent. 5 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of one or more therapies. A minimum of three years of prior supervisory/management experience Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of physical therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same.
