Job Description

Our 25-Bed Critical Access Hospital is seeking a Occupational Therapist that will provide direct rehabilitative care for both inpatients and outpatients, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare staff to achieve patient goals. Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs. Supervises occupational therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment. Job Responsibilities Evaluates task performance skills, plans and implements programs designed to restore the outpatient, acute, and swing bed patients’ abilities. Educates the patient and others regarding occupational therapy treatment procedures. Documents patient treatment and progress for third party payers. Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to occupational therapy. Provides direct supervision of support personnel and students. Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required.  Licensure/Certification/Registration Licensed as a Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of New Mexico. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position. Work Experience 1-5 years+ experience preferred.
