The Endoscopy Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in the Endoscopy Unit to provide care to the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures in a setting that fosters culture and age specific care. He/She functions within the policies, practice guidelines, procedures and physician directives of Milford Regional Hospital and the Department of Patient Care Services in accordance with the Massachusetts Rules and Regulations for Ancillary Health Care Providers and the JCAHO nursing service standards.
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Skills/ Certification / License: current CPR skills
Previous Operating Room Technician a plus. Command of verbal and written English. Basic computer skills useful. The Endoscopy Technician must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
