Summary

DUTIES: The System Administrator job is a position on the MaineHealth Enterprise Reporting Team, reporting to the Information Services Manager. The System Administrator reviews and analyzes computer system capabilities, computer system user requirements, computer system procedures, workflow, and problems to automate or improve existing computer systems, including computer systems supporting clinical, fiscal, and business operations within the MaineHealth integrated healthcare delivery network.

The System Administrator – SAP supports the MaineHealth Enterprise Reporting Team, which investigates data, analyzes use case requirements, provides solution prototypes, and collaborates with developers and architects to provide high value analytics and report solutions. This position will be responsible for supporting SAP’s Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) environments.  This includes reviewing release notes, testing new features within dev & test, BI tool configurations, promotion management, vetting feature functionality, maintaining and monitoring system security and supporting project teams responsible for producing system content. 

The System Administrator works under the supervision of the Information Systems Manager, Enterprise Reporting for MaineHealth, who is responsible for final review of work product and provides specific instruction, review, oversight and direction.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The minimum requirements for this position:

  • 2+ years System Administration experience.
  • SAP system administration experience preferred.
  • SAP system administration certification preferred, or ability to successfully complete the certification process within 2-4 months of hire. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a computer related field, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Healthcare experience helpful
