Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during invasive cardiology procedures. Performs scrub, circulator and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Provides care, assessment prior, during and post procedural instructions to patients.
Registered Radiologic Technologist RT ( R ) with min. 1 yr.
Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Cardiovascular Invasive specialist (RCIS) required.
BLS, ACLS and ARRT card current on and file.
Must be able to take and respond to call within 30mins.
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing
Able to frequently lift up to 60 pounds, reach, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel
Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable glass to read, write, and evaluate medical images
Able to hear or correctable with hearing devices and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the telephone
Able to hear, see and feel to accurately observe, monitor and administer care
Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e. operate imaging equipment, develop film, venipuncture)
