The position of Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for directing the daily operations of the patient financial services department which includes scheduling, registration, collections, revenue cycle and billing. The Director must ensure all areas of responsibility operate in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organization and departmental policies and procedures. The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and the ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment. The position is responsible for the supervision of multiple professional and clerical personnel and is delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out assigned duties. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
1. Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration, accounting or office administration preferred.
2. Formal Training: Advanced computer knowledge with word processing and advanced spreadsheet capabilities required.
3. Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Certified Patient Account Representative preferred.
4. Work Experience: Prior experience in hospital/healthcare finance required. Minimum three (3) years management experience.
