The Clinic Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of PRHC specialty clinic nursing teams (for example but not limited to, visiting specialty, surgery, rheumatology, oncology, and occupational medicine and internal resource nurses). The nurse will provide leadership, ensure the flow of communication, and assist in maintaining the highest standards of care and patient safety. He/she will be responsible for collaboration with staffing, evaluations, policies and procedures, documentation standards and clinic process. In addition to providing supervision, he/she will be providing direct and indirect care to help support the nursing functions of the clinics.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
v Graduate of an accredited RN program.
v Certification/Licensure in the States of Iowa.
v Previous acute or clinic experience.
v Current BCLS verification.
v Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
v High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
v Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
v Basic computer knowledge
v Technical and Critical Thinking Skills in relation to sound nursing judgment
v Knowledge of skilled nursing practices.
