Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician 40 Edmund Ervin Pediatric Center 6 East Chestnut Augusta, Maine, 04330 United States Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician The Edmund N. Ervin Pediatric Center team at MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a board certified or board eligible Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to join the family and child oriented outpatient pediatric evaluation and treatment center. The pediatrician will serve as a member of the developmental, behavioral and foster care teams, working with children up to age 13. This is a Monday-Friday position with no call. The Pediatrician will be: skilled at assessment and treatment of children with neuro developmental disabilities able to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team with Child Psychologists, LCSWs, Occupational and Physical Therapists and Speech Therapists skilled at medical (pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic) management, including but not limited to sleep cycle disturbance, enuresis and encopresis, violently aggressive behavior and impulsivity and inattention able to provide psychopharmacologic medication management along with our child psychiatrists on staff able to work closely with our OT/PT and Speech providers to provide care to children with cerebral palsy, hypertonia and hypotonia, disorders of balance and coordination and with fine motor difficulties managing independent feeding and toileting Benefits include: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance Educational loan repayment CME allowance and days off to attend conferences Relocation assistance About the Pediatric Center: Since opening in 1958, the Center has provided comprehensive interdisciplinary assessments and therapeutic interventions for a range of childhood difficulties including speech, motor, emotional and behavioral. In addition to developmental assessments, our staff provides comprehensive assessments of the medical and behavioral needs of children entering temporary state custody. Located in Augusta, Maine's state capital, our physicians and psychologists are very involved in programs that help develop medical and mental health policy. We have close working relationships with many academic institutions and teach undergraduate and graduate students, as well as host family medicine residents from the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program.
