Job Description

Collaborating with all units of the hospital and Leadership to meet employee and organizational goals, promoting a culture of excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads the Human Resources, Employee Health and Wellness Teams in delivery of quality services from each area.  Responsible for maintaining and reporting HR metrics and initiatives and ensuring alignment with Sr. Leadership.  Ensures regulatory compliance of policies and procedures and employment practices.   Develops, directs and implements organizational and employee programs and processes including performance management, talent management, succession planning, orientation and training for Silver Cross Hospital.  Ensures that employee performance is maximized and that contributions are aligned with and support the goals and objectives of the Hospital.  Participates in quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and hospital philosophy and objectives.  Is familiar with Quality/Customer Service processes and philosophy.  Comprehensive understanding of the organization principle and practices, talent management, benefits, compensation, pay practices with the ability to create presentations for broad audiences on each of these areas.  Knowledge of the Hospital’s infrastructure interfaces and business plans.  Creates and revises Human Resources policies and procedures and applicable Federal and State regulations.  Proficiency in a variety of computer applications.  Excellent communication, planning and critical-decision making skills required.  Strong interpersonal, project management, facilitation and customer service skills required.  Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff within the organization and resources within the community.  Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Requirements: Advanced Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.   4-year degree in Human Resources or related field required.  10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources preferably within the Healthcare or Hospitality industry.  PHR or SPHR required.  Workday experience STRONGLY preferred.
