Practice Administrator: This position is responsible for and effectively functions as the ?point person? for APA?s physician practices, and coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations of each office to ensure services are delivered in an effective, efficient, and customer-oriented manner and in accordance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies? regulations, requirements, and standards. Essential Requirements/Job Specific Standards � � Develops and executes a business plan (updated at least annually or more frequently as needed) for physician practices, and actively directs the strategic, volume growth, and marketing efforts. � Develops, implements, and maintains an organizational structure for physician-owned practices that provides for on-site supervision at each clinic; coordination of day-to-day tasks; and cross-training and sharing of providers and staff among the individual practices to ensure overall effectiveness and efficiency. � Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for the practices to ensure effective, efficient, high-quality, and consistent methods of performing tasks at each of the practices in accordance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies? regulations, requirements, and standards. � Operates and staffs physician practices in a financially responsible manner and in accordance with budgetary requirements. � Works collaboratively with the physicians and physician extenders to develop and maintain a culture of professionalism, mutual trust, and respect. � Coordinates all facets of interviewing, hiring, evaluating, terminating, and conducting timely performance appraisals of all staff. � Coordinates all facets of financially credentialing for insurance plan providers. � Works effectively and collaboratively with the billing company staff on all facets of the revenue cycle to maximize overall financial performance, billing, coding, and collections at each of the clinics. � Effectively plans and carries out the start-up and operationalization of all new owned practices on schedule and on budget. � Meets with each physician on at least a monthly basis to review clinic volumes, financial performance, and patient satisfaction; identify and address strategic and operational issues at each practice; and discuss ways to improve clinic performance. � Personally visits and spends quality time at each owned practice on a regular basis to ensure effective communications, problem-solving, and management visibility � Represents APA and each practice in a positive manner, is a professional and positive ?role model? for others, and exhibits strong customer service and Service Excellence skills. � Other practice and APA related duties as reasonably requested and assigned. � Qualifications Education: Bachelor?s Degree or minimum of 5 years related experience required. Knowledge:�Previous experience with physician office management and practices required.� Knowledge of operations of a physician practice required.
