High School diploma or GED required.
Experience/TrainingMinimum one (1) year experience patient registration or health care front office experience preferred. Patient Registration or Patient Access certification may be substituted for experience.
Other QualificationsEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of patient registration processes in a hospital and clinic environment. Knowledge of medical insurance and verification processes required. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).
