Maintains the medical record computer database through the prepping, scanning, analysis, and retrieval of confidential patient records. Processes admissions and discharges daily, maintain the computerized master patient index, maintain various statistical information both manually and in the computer, and release medical information appropriately. Will perform audits, copy records, and assist physicians and other hospital staff with record location.
