The Epic Principal Trainer is responsible for supporting all aspects of end user training in respective Epic module. This includes but is not limited to: developing and maintaining course curriculum, training materials and conducting classroom training for Skagit Regional Health Staff, and go-live support.
Bachelor’s degree preferably in adult education or a professional discipline; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.
Experience/TrainingPrior experience in adult education and instructional design preferred. Two years clinical or financial experience in a related healthcare operational role and/or knowledge of physician/hospital workflow.
License/CertificationMust obtain certified proficiency within each assigned Epic application module, within 6 months of employment.
Other QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write, update and edit curriculum for all roles that require training and create job aids and other training materials. Strong interpersonal and organization skills, with ability to meet deadlines and attend numerous meetings. Strong ability to create material within MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint). Visio and other presentation software (Prezi) preferred. Must be willing to spend significant time leading classroom training and must be able to present material clearly and with confidence. Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly, as well as handle frequent change. Willing to travel overnight for educational class and to work non-standard and/or extended hours, during peak periods of the implementation process.
