High School graduate or GED required. Successful completion of SRH Medical Assisting on the job training program is required.
Experience/TrainingPrevious experience in a health care setting preferred.
License/CertificationWashington State Medical Assistant – Registered application to be initiated on the first day of the On the Job Training (OJT) program. SRH funds/reimburses the application and renewal fee of the MA-R WA State Certificate. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare provider BLS required within 30 days of hire, prior to working in assigned department.
Other QualificationsGood verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work) is required.
