Produces and records data using appropriate ultrasound equipment for medical diagnostic purposes as part of the patient care team. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.
Experience/TrainingMinimum one (1) year experience performing a wide range of ultrasound exams preferred.
License/CertificationMust have American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certified or be ARDMS eligible. If hired as registry eligible, must have ARDMS within 1 year of hire. Current American Heart Association (AHA) healthcare provider BLS certification required.
Other QualificationsEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well developed problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of the healthcare environment required. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).
