St. Luke’s Hospital is a nicotine free campus, which includes cigarettes, smokeless tobacco and e-cigarettes. This is routine manual commercial kitchen and technical work in the preparation and service of food for patients’ regular and therapeutic diets and food for cafeteria guest and distribution of patients’ diets. Work is performed in accordance with established standards and hospital policies and procedures under direct supervision in accordance with established hospital food handling and sanitation policies and procedures. Effective performance requires the ability to demonstrate human relations skills and deal with patient nutritional needs, under moderate supervision. Primary Duties: Serves food properly and safely. Demonstrates effective teamwork and collaboration. Follows hospital and department policies. Exhibit basic customer/patient service skills. Performs other duties as directed. Job Requirements: Education: Required - High School Diploma or GED Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate and maintain own work station. Ability to operate and maintain equipment as directed. Exceptional customer service skills with internal and external customers required.
