Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data creates high quality diagnostic images.
Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.
Documents pertinent data in patient charts following all preferences of the physicians.
Assists physicians in procedures as requested.
Develops and implements work processes and reports.
Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
Education: Required- Successful completion of an AMA approved radiologic technology program which meets the requirements by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or graduate of an approved ultrasound program.
Required - Must become registered in Sonography within two (2) years from the date of position acceptance. Position requires achievement and maintenance of an “active” RDMS status.
Experience: Required - Must have 2 years clinical sonography education/training.
