Job Description

Responsible for annual budget preparation of Bozeman Health as well as assisting in ongoing financial planning. Prepare and assist in business case financial proforma preparation and review. Analyze care system operations and report on performance, preparing effective presentations of information to various levels of leadership. Support annual operating goal measurement and observations related to achievement. Facilitate ongoing design, reporting and optimization of the decision support application. Steer productivity management with ongoing review, reporting of performance and conduit to benchmarking and target setting. Lead and direct the work of team analysts. Assist in other financial analysis and presentations as needed. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Preferred: Masters in Accounting LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION Required: Preferred: CPA EXPERIENCE Required: 5 - 7 years of decision support, cost accounting, or finance/accounting as well as previous supervisory experience. Preferred: 3 - 5 years healthcare experience KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Knowledge of GAAP and auditing procedures required. Knowledge of Excel, Word required. Knowledge of personal computers, hardware and e-mail programs required. SKILLS IN: Skills in Excel, Word, 10-key and typing required. Advance knowledge of spreadsheet & database applications and theory with experience in query writing preferred. Ability to efficiently utilize appropriate presentation approaches (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, dashboard applications, etc.) required. Mainframe computer experience is required with Lawson and Axiom experience preferred. ABILITY TO: Ability to refer to policy manual for specific instructions/guidelines. Ability to follow established policies and procedures. Ability to adhere to the standards of the job description and overall philosophy of Bozeman Health. Ability to maintain flexibility and to adapt to a variety of workload assignments, work independently with minimum supervision, solve problems and perform analysis, and determine the impact of decisions on the organization. Ability to learn, understand and apply changing accounting standards to BH. Ability to think through problems and develop solutions to problems or issues within the context of the organization's general guidelines and philosophies. COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 20% Time Spent - Budget and financial planning preparation and performance review. 15% Time Spent - Business operation case, proforma & plan preparation & review support. 15% Time Spent - Oversee Decision Support & Costing Application. 15% Time Spent - Productivity & labor management review and support. 15% Time Spent - Supervise and review work of the Financial Analysts. 15% Time Spent - Care System performance reporting and review. 5% Time Spent - Other duties as assigned.
