Performs basic patient care activities under the direction of a licensed nurse.
Assist with activities of daily living and personal care assistance to patients.
Monitors patients and collects information to be documented in the medical record.
Perform bedside testing as necessary.
Perform basic patient care.
Maintain constant communication with nursing staff regarding patient conditions and changes in status.
Deliver patient food trays and other nourishment.
Deliver specimen to laboratory, transport x-rays and other equipment as necessary.
Perform basic clerical duties as required.
Ensure cleanliness of unit, equipment and work area.
Inventory and maintain supplies and equipment as needed
Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience – Less than one year in an acute or long-term care setting preferred.
Training – Completion of a CNA training program.
License/Certification – Current New Mexico Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required.
