Assess and provide necessary treatment for all ages of patients related to respiratory, and/or cardiac difficulties.
Draw blood for ABG, understanding and using related machines.
Perform EKG, SVN treatments and BiPAP/CPAP therapy.
Administer proper drug and oxygen therapy
Provide and maintain ventilation equipment
Evaluate patients regarding auscultation, SAO2 readings and oral interview techniques.
Assist with intubations.
Perform outpatient studies as needed.
Participate in patient education.
Maintain all records pertinent to patient care.
Requires thorough knowledge of the cardiopulmonary system.
Skills as required for RRT/CRT license.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Graduate of an accredited respiratory program recognized by the NBRC and AARC.
Work Experience – N/A
Training – per licensure.
License/Certification – Current State of New Mexico CRT and/or RRT; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required.
ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
