Allina Health Emergency Medical Services is a leader and innovator in pre-hospital emergency medical services and is devoted to providing skilled and compassionate advanced life support, basic life support and scheduled transport in more than 100 Minnesota communities. Nearly 600 paramedics, emergency medical technicians and dispatchers work together to provide service to an area of approximately 1,000 square miles, reaching more than 1 million people annually.

Patient Care: Provide and maintain high medical standards of care to the sick and injured per standard operating procedures.
Transport: To provide safe, timely transportation of self and patients from scene to facility or inter-facility.
Customer Relations: Present a professional and well-groomed appearance to the public. Establish and maintain good rapport with local EMS organizations.
Quality Improvement: Decrease waste, improve processes, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Provide concise, accurate information pertaining to the initial condition, history and treatment procedures for the patient.
Vehicle Care/Base and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle, equipment and base. Obtain and secure Class A narcotics.
Associates degree required within 24 months from date of hire, or
Associates degree requirement waived with four years of experience as a paramedic in a 911 environment
Paramedic in good standing that separates from the organization and returns within 9-months, the associates degree requirement will be waived
Good interpersonal communication skills
Excellent documentation skills
Computer skills to include Microsoft office
Current MN State Paramedic certification or National Registry with the expectation of receiving MN State Paramedic certification prior to date of hire.
Current CPR certification
Valid state issued driver’s license
Driving record must meet Allina driving policy requirements
144 hours per quarter
Will need to pick up a shift no less than every 30 days
Day/Evening/Night/ and Weekend shifts
