The Nurse Anesthetist administers anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures for all age groups – neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients following medically approved techniques under the professional direction of an anesthesiologist or surgeon.
Schedule: Two 7am - 7pm shifts and one 7am - 3pm shift per week for a total of 32 hours per week.
Current Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the AANA Council on Certification or eligible for certification.
Current Registered Nurse Licensure inNorth Carolina.
Current Verification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Board of Nursing North Carolina.
Member of the AANA (optional)
Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS; will obtain NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
Current Credentials / Reappointment per IHS Bylaws
Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation
Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
