Job Description

Performs blood collection procedures on patients from the ages of neonates to geriatrics in an accurate and timely manner to provide specimens of high quality for laboratory analysis. Performs report distribution procedures with utmost accuracy and speed and assures proper, accurate and timely placement of results. Also provides communication of test results via phone and/or fax to nursing units, nursing homes, home health agencies and physician offices. Qualifications Required: Formal Education and Certifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Vocational training to include a 3 month (or 200 hours) phlebotomy class or equivalent on the job training   Knowlege and Experience Color vision designation Preferred: Formal Education and Certifications Certification in phlebotomy Knowledge and Experience Basic keyboarding
