Job Description

Under the administrative leadership of the Vice President Medical Affairs and the Director of Physician practice, provides quality clinical care to patients. Physician will participate in the on call responsibilities of the Practice. Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: Degree of MD or DO with completion of ABPN-recognized Psychiatry residency. Valid American Board certification by ABPN. Valid and unrestricted West Virginia medical license. BLS certification (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire) Valid DEA registration and if appropriate, Controlled Substance Certificate. Maintains CME requirements in field of specialty as required by WV Board of Medicine. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Must successfully complete CPI class every 24 months. (if CPI is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPI class after hire). EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Two years previous Psychiatric experience with Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Will consider new graduates.
