Job Description: Join the Regions Hospital Patient Accounting team as a Revenue Support Specialist! This position is a patient-facing role that provides behind the scenes support and activities to the Patient Access Department. This role is integral in providing office support for the hospitals patient accounting team and is responsible for managing outside correspondence in the following areas: bankruptcy claims: reviewing the claim notification, making adjustments within Epic’s practice management system and notifying the court system of outstanding patient balances public housing forms: review and responding to questionnaires from counties demographic requests: review and responding to information requests for patient information from our service partners (i.e. EMS) deceased demands: review and file the necessary information to the county of residence for the deceased patient along with updating the guarantor account In addition, the role provides financial activity support for the patient accounting department including: bank deposits money exchange in the cashier’s office managing patient valuables account adjustments managing return mail Successful candidates will be computer savvy, patient-focused, organized and friendly along with taking initiative in their daily work while utilizing critical thinking skills and working with a sense of urgency to respond to time-sensitive requests.
