Job Description: Join the Regions Hospital Pharmacy team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician! This position is responsible for providing high quality customer service to internal and external customers, answers phones and uses department scripting. The Pharmacy Technician maintains and fills automated dispensing equipment, prepares bulk compounded products by following instructions for calculating, measuring, mixing and labeling and performs calculations to apportion ingredients accurately for compounds and other preparations. The Pharmacy Technician prepares chemotherapy agents following established procedures, prepares sterile products in accordance with standardized aseptic techniques, prepares prescription orders for delivery to the customers, and processes medication returns and interdepartmental transfers of medication. Minimum qualifications: High school education Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Certified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, National HealthCare Association Preferred qualifications: Completion of an accredited program for pharmacy technicians or completion of MN Board of Pharmacy Technician training requirements if registered as a pharmacy technician after January 1, 2013 Six (6) months of related experience in a hospital, community or institutional pharmacy Additional Information: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.

Qualifications
