Job Description: A wonderful career opportunity for a Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist is now available with a reputable nonprofit hospital. Regions Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center serving adults and children in Minnesota and western Wisconsin for more than 140 years. With the support and resources of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist will provide decentralized clinical pharmacy services along with some inpatient dispensing and IV medication compounding on a per diem basis. As a Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist you will provide pharmaceutical services by rounding with patient care teams, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information and education to healthcare providers and patients/families, precepting pharmacy students and residents, reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, overseeing the work of direct support personnel, and participating in quality and safety improvement projects.. The ideal Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist will have the ability to set priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions and be able to adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree Experience: • Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program (i.e., residency or fellowship; e.g., PGY1 or PGY2 American Society of Health System Pharmacists accredited pharmacy program), or • Board certification (e.g. Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist) Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Minnesota. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Same as above Experience: One year current experience in inpatient dispensing and/or IV preparation Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Licensed preceptor with MN Board of Pharmacy is preferred for any pharmacist roles that will precept students and interns.
