Job Description

The Nutrition Services Rep utilizes a thorough understanding of therapeutic diets and takes responsibility for diet orders and tube feeding orders. This position oversees the completion of tasks and duties of the Call Center Associates and acts as a resource in the call center - answering calls, managing caller queue during call back periods, audits, problem solving and effectively communicating with staff and leaders. Performs other duties within the Food and Nutrition Department as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of nutrition or health care related education. Experience: 2 years customer service experience required. Healthcare nutrition call center experience can substitute for education. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to manage responsibilities of ongoing projects. Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively communicate resolutions Must be able to read, follow oral and written directions, in English Ability to communicate nutrition information Ability to work in a fast paced communication focused environment Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff , visitors and patients Ability to multitask (e.g, talk on phone and work on computer at same time). Must be able to switch tasks and duties at a moment’s notice while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be efficient, accurate and have good attention to detail Intermediate level of computer skills, ability to navigate multiple computer applications simultaneously Pass Nutrition Representative Test with a score of 90% or higher within 6 months of hire Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Diet Tech Certification (DTR) preferred. Hours During the Week and Weekend: 630am-3pm Every Other Weekend Every Other Holiday
