Job Description: Regions Hospital is the largest provider of inpatient mental health services in the east metro. We treat all mental illnesses in adults at our state-of-the-art facility. This means we can provide comprehensive, personalized care for all our patient’s needs, no matter how complex. Mental Health Associates help to provide a caring safe healing environment for our patients. As a Mental Health Associate you will work with a collaborative care team providing patients with the best care and support. You’ll work with psychiatrists, physician assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and more. You will provide patient care to patients experiencing mental illness(es) and their families using de-escalation skills, group dynamics and facilitation. This includes assisting with crisis management, therapeutic programming and milieu management as member of the Mental Health Care team. This role is instrumental in addressing emergent and urgent issues as needed as well as performing other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Holds a bachelor's or higher degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university; OR Has at least 1 year of supervised experience in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness or related applicable experience may substitute for the education requirement. Qualifications

Schedule

Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday- 0700-1100. Every other weekend, 0700-1530. You will also work three major holidays a year. Float position.
