Guides patients and families through the Oncology care system, establishing contact with newly diagnosed cancer patients. The navigator anticipates patient and family needs throughout the continuum of care; communicates and facilitates ongoing care with multi-disciplinary team members. The navigator will also be responsible to assist with marketing strategies to promote the Oncology program, and represent the program in community activities.
EducationRequires a BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience/TrainingMinimum of two years’ experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, practical working experience in an outpatient oncology setting preferred.
License/CertificationPatient Navigation Certification preferred.
