Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes. On call response time within one hour required.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid unrestricted RN license for the State of Ohio. Current BLS required. Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia and ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. Intermediate Cardiac Dysrhythmia Class required within 1 year of hire. Will have to specialize in either Chemotherapy and/or Pediatrics within 1 year of hire. PALS required or obtained withing 6 months of hire.
Experience: One to three years’ experience specific to physician office practice or Health System preferred.
Skills: Must have excellent “customer service” skills. Must have basic computer skills.
