Education: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) is required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have completed the Ohio Board of Nursing approved LPN IV Therapy Course..
Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid unrestricted LPN license for the State of Ohio. Must be currently registered with the Ohio Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration. National Technical Certification is preferred. Current BLS required. Must be Intravenous certified. ACLS preferred.
Experience: At least one (1) year of current dialysis experience is required.
Skills: Must have excellent “customer service” skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be “on call” per department requirements. Be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress.Must have basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience.Must have knowledge of correct body mechanics and be able to pass the color blindness test. Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately. Possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics and follow instructions.
