Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies, the Valet Attendant is responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles and for directing visitors to vacant parking spots. Responsibilities include maneuvering vehicles carefully to take advantage of all parking spaces; issuing tags to customers to facilitate retrieval of vehicles; cleaning up debris from vehicle parking and/or transition area; positioning or removing barricades; opening doors and greeting customers; calling for cabs or tow trucks per clients’ request. The Valet Attendant is responsible for understanding and following all LMHS policies and procedures, complying with all LMHS safety and risk management policies, reporting all accidents and injuries in a timely manner, and performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Education: High School graduate or GED required.
Licensure/Certification: A valid State of Ohio Driver’s license and applicable insurance coverage are required. BLS preferred. Must possess a good driving record. Ability to be insured through LMHS moto vehicle insurance carrier.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills: Must have strong verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all customers. Must also have the ability to use electronic equipment and communication devices, and to drive a variety of vehicles, including those with a standard transmission.
