Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies, the Food Service Tech performs a variety of tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning of equipment, general cleaning following safety and sanitary procedures, simple food preparation and service, and assisting in patient tray line operations. The Food Service Tech provides efficient, courteous customer service to all areas, is proficient at cash handling and cash register operations, and follows HACCP food safety guidelines throughout all aspect of job. The Food Service Tech completes other duties as assigned by the food service Supervisor, Chef and Manager.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) is required.
Licensure/Certification: None required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of Food Service Technician is preferred.
Skills: Must demonstrate ability to learn and develop skill in operation of equipment and simple food preparation. Must also display above average initiative and a willingness to accept responsibility.
