Performs testing and reporting of Laboratory results.
Performs testing and reporting of results in the areas of Blood Banking, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, EKG’s, Holter and Cardiac Event Monitoring, Urine Drug Screening. Must communicate with other Hospital employees, medical staff, patients and patient families.
Obtains specimens for testing from patients. These include blood, urine, stool, sputum and other body fluids. The results of which will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient.
Successful completion of a formal Medical Laboratory Technologist Program of Successful completion of a formal Medical Laboratory Technician Program.
Minimum four (4) years of college/Bachelor Degree or equivalent (for Technologist) or Minimum two (2) years of college (for Technician).
On-Call Coverage, evenings and weekends.
