  • Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise has become the first and only hospital in Idaho to earn all three Time Sensitive Emergency (TSE) designations for STEMI – Level, Stroke and Trauma – Level II.  Saint Alphonsus achieved the designations by demonstrating improved patient outcomes, lowered costs, reduced preventable deaths and improved quality of life for patients.  Idaho’s TSE program has created three designation levels for stroke centers, five levels for trauma centers and two levels for heart attack centers.
  • The American Heart Association recently recognized SARMC as a 2016 Mission: Lifeline® Receiving Center BRONZE Recognition Award recipient for the quality of heart attack care.
  • Saint Alphonsus Breast Care Center awarded Brachytherapy Center of Excellence.
  • Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario was awarded Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission.
  • Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center received its recertification in Advanced Inpatient Diabetes by The Joint Commission.
  • The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has re-designated the SARMC Trauma Program as Level II.
  • The American Academy of Sleep Medicine gave re-accreditation of our Sleep Center and accredited the Home Sleep Apnea Testing program for the first time.
  • Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario is listed in Becker's Hospital Review as a top hospital for the lowest 30-day pneumonia readmission rate.  Using CMS data from July 2011 through June 2014, the latest available, SAMC-Ontario had a 14.6 percent rate, one of 51 hospitals nationwide under 15 percent.  The national average is 16.9 percent.
