MUSC Health, the clinical enterprise, operates a 750-bed medical center in Charleston, South Carolina, which includes a nationally recognized Children’s Hospital, the Ashley River Tower (cardiovascular, digestive disease, and surgical oncology), Hollings Cancer Center (one of only 66 elite National Cancer Institute designated centers), a Level I Trauma Center and the Institute of Psychiatry. The comprehensive cardiac program at MUSC Children’s Heart Center has consistently been named one of the country’s top pediatric heart centers. In addition, there are more than 100 outreach clinics and telehealth sites. MUSC has recently acquired four more hospitals in Chester, Lancaster, Marion, and Florence.
