We recently received our 10th consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Score from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, naming us as one of the safest hospitals in the Nation. In December of 2017 we also earned the designation of Top Rural Hospital from the Leapfrog Group.

2017 Top Rural Hospital

In December of 2017 Colquitt Regional Medical Center was named as a 2017 Top Rural Hospital by the Leapfrog Group. Nationwide only 18 rural hospitals received this distinction, and this was the 2nd time that Colquitt Regional has been named to the list. The Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. Performance across many areas of hospital care is considered in establishing the qualifications for the award, including infection rates, maternity care, and the hospital’s capacity to prevent medication errors. The rigorous standards are defined in each year’s Top Hospital Methodology.

Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission

Colquitt Regional voluntarily underwent a thorough evaluation by The Joint Commission to see if our facility meets The Joint Commission’s rigorous performance standards in delivering quality, safe care. By meeting these standards, Colquitt Regional received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval – an internationally recognized symbol of quality.

"A" Hospital Safety Score

Colquitt Regional has received an “A” Hospital Safety Score 10 times in a row by The Leapfrog Group! This “A” rating names Colquitt Regional as one of the safest hospitals in the Nation. The Leapfrog Group is a nonprofit watchdog organization that serves as a voice for health care purchasers, using their collective influence to foster positive change in U.S. health care. Leapfrog is the nation’s premier advocate of hospital transparency – collecting, analyzing and disseminating hospital data to inform value-based purchasing.
