The all new Acadian Medical Center is a 52 bed acute-care, 100,000 square foot medical facility with a service area of over 25,000 people. The new state-of-the-art hospital is attached to the recently completed 40,000 square foot Physician Plaza.
Acadian Medical Center features all private rooms with private baths, has a 24 hour physician-staffed Emergency Room and provides a comprehensive list of inpatient and outpatient services including ICU, Physical Therapy, OB/GYN, Pharmacy, Laboratory Services, Urology, Social Services, ENT, Pediatrics, Dietary and Respiratory.
Radiology Services include MRI, Dual Head Nuclear Medicine and 8-slice CT with computed radiology. Medical staff specialties include OB/GYN, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Nephrology, ENT, Urology, Radiology, Podiatry, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology plus General and Orthopedic Surgery.
Eunice is a community well known for its Cajun heritage and tradition. Every year the city hosts the Cajun Folklife Festival, as well as a crawfish etouffee cook-off. On Mardi Gras, it hosts a traditional Courir de Mardi Gras.
Eunice is proud to be home to the Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, which features exhibits, indoor displays, and hands-on craft and musical teaching workshops. There's the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been included in the Great American Movie Theatres Preservation Press Guide published by the Smithsonian.
Louisiana State University-Eunice offers a variety of course offerings, an excellent Nursing X-ray School, Respiratory Therapy program and many other business related programs. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is located just 40 miles away. The Eunice Public School District has four elementary schools, and a junior and senior high school, as well as a private Catholic elementary school and high school.
The great Atchafalaya Basin Wildlife Area is one of the great ecological wonders of the United States. The basin, which abounds in all types of wildlife and extends north from Morgan City to past Lafayette, is a maze of lakes, bayous, ponds and cypress swamps.
Popular with anglers from all parts of Louisiana, the basin supports all of the freshwater fish of the South: largemouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Avid birders and photographers may spot over 300 known species of birds.
Chicot State Park features nearly 6,000 acres of rolling woodlands surrounded by a 2,000-acre artificial lake. Families can enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, hiking and more.
The town of Eunice has six tennis courts, 11 ball parks, two swimming pools, two covered pavilions, two playgrounds, three picnic areas with covered tables, a walking trail and lake, a city lake and golf course.

Benefit packages to include Health, Dental, Vision insurances as well as, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability offered to employee and dependent(s). Optional packages allow the employee to choose the coverage that best fits their personal needs. Life insurance, guaranteed issue, in the amount of one year's salary provided at no cost to the employee. Additional coverage, including spouse and dependents, available at group discounted rates.
Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement accounts allow the employee to bank tax-exempt monies in a savings plan for qualified expenses such as deductibles, co-pays, dependent care needs. 401(k) Retirement Plan grants the employee freedom to invest in established portfolios or alternative self-directed funds. Paid time off (PTO) accrued at different rates, depending on years of service, enables employees to take personal time off. As an added bonus, PTO can be exchanged monetarily after six (6) months of employment, certain restrictions apply. Extended Sick Leave (ESL) assures employees time needed for preventative care, sickness, and emergencies.
Acadian Medical Center offers generous Sign-On bonuses. Provided employees fulfill an eighteen (18) month employment obligation, LPNs can earn $1,500 and RNs $3,000. Med/Surg RNs, who commit to two years of night shift, can earn a $5,000 bonus. Lifepoint's Adoption Plan covers costs associated with legally adopting a child. The plan will reimburse agency fees, court and legal fees, state-required programs and transportation costs, certain restrictions apply.
