The Parkview Health system was formed in 1995 and our heritage of care and compassion continues today with eight hospitals and a network of primary care and specialty physicians.

Parkview Health’s Information Services received the Health Care’s Most WiredTM award from Hospitals & Health Networks in the year 2014. Hospitals & Health Networks is the flagship publication of the American Hospital Association. Most Wired hospitals meet a set of rigorous criteria across four operational categories: infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety and clinical integration. These hospitals also have made tremendous gains by using IT services to reduce the likelihood of medical errors.

Parkview Whitley Hospital

The American Nurses Association’s (ANA) National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators® (NDNQI®) has recognized Parkview Whitley Hospital with the Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality for a Community Hospital in the year 2013. The NDNQI is the nation’s most comprehensive database of nursing performance measures, and the award recognizes hospitals that improve patient outcomes and maintain high job satisfaction among nurses. Parkview Whitley was one of only six hospitals recognized out of 1,800 nationwide that report performance measures to ANA’s NDNQI.

Parkview Regional Medical Center and Parkview Hospital are within the top 5 percent of all hospitals for excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays. On average, patients treated in Patient Safety Excellence Award hospitals were also less likely to experience hip fracture following surgery; experience pressure sores or bed sores acquired in the hospital; or experience a catheter-related bloodstream Infection acquired in the hospital.
