ROUNDUP MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE is a 25-bed critical access hospital (dually licensed as swing beds) with an integrated provider clinic.  We are located in the heart of MusselshellCounty, at the intersection of U.S. Highways 12 and 87—and about 50 miles from Billings—Roundup is the county seat as well as the largest town.  As of the 2010 census, our county supports a population of around 4,100, about half of which reside in Roundup.

Roundup sits at an elevation of 3,215 feet.  Weatherwise, the mean temperature ranges from 27° in December to 73° in July, with the average low being 15° in December, and the average high being 90° in July.

According to Sperling’s BestPlaces (to live), the overall cost of living in Roundup is 9.2% lower than the rest of the country.  This means that Roundup is cheaper than the U.S. average.  Our crime rate is also lower, rating about 30 out of 100; the U.S. average is about 40.

The elementary, junior, and senior high schools are also in town.  Student to teacher ratio is about 14:1, and there is an active sports program and active FFA and 4H clubs.  Various clubs have chapters here, including American Legion, Boy Scouts, Junior Women, Lions, Optimists, Red Hat, Rotary, and Shriners.  Roundup also boasts 10 church denominations, three banks, two grocery stores, a hardware store, a dentist, an optometrist, a chiropractor, two gas stations, a car wash, and various restaurants and bars, along with other businesses.
