Nutritionist - Medical Nutrition Therapy

The registered dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients with diabetes, pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes and other diagnoses, who are referred by their providers, diabetes center staff or self-referred.
Manages Diabetes Self-Management classes under the direction of the program coordinator: scheduling, contacting patients, pre and post-class assessments.
Participates in community health and educational events.
Provides in-service education to employees of Memorial Hospital.
Utilizes Core Curriculum for Diabetes Education (ADA publication) as framework for diabetes care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
BS degree in nutrition and dietetics
Registered Dietitian status, licensed in the state of NH
Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Experience or willingness to learn theories of adult learning
CDE or meets eligibility for exam
Ability to perform multitasked functions, prioritize care and willingness to update knowledge regarding diabetes care.
