Audiologist - Speech & Hearing

Functioning within the Health Systems mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Audiologistevaluates, plans, implements, administers Audiologymodalities and procedures per State of OhioLaws and Rules Regulating the Practice of Speech-Language Pathologists and AudiologistsChapter4753. of the OhioRevised Code; Chapters 4753.01 to 4753.12 of the OhioAdministrative Code. The Audiologistwill provide leadership for the implementation of specialty programs and demonstrate professional conductthat is consistent with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associationand/or the American Academy of Audiology Code of Ethics and the code of Ethics Chapter 4753-9 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Audiologistwill be required to assist in other areas as assigned that may include Acute Care, Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Care Unit, , Pediatrics, LMHS Outpatient, and the Wellness Center.
Education: A Masters degree in Audiology from an accredited school is required.A Doctorate of Audiology is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the Speech Language Pathology & Audiology Board of Ohio in accordance with The State of OhioLaws and Rules Regulating the Practice of Speech Language Pathology Chapter 4753 of the Ohio Revised Code;
Experience: No previous experience required however, 1-2 years clinical experience recommended
Skills: Strong communication and listening skills, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to multi-task are required. Must have documented overall general knowledge of PT/OT/ST as a profession,. Demonstrated leadership and timeliness are also required.
