Regions Hospital has an exciting new job opportunity for an Anatomic Pathology Operations Supervisor.

As the Anatomic Pathology Supervisor at Regions Hospital you will join an innovative and collaborative team of professionals in our newly remodeled laboratory designed for ergonomics and workflow. Our team has also recently launched a new laboratory information system designed to provide efficiency and patient safety across our family of care laboratories. Your work is based at Regions Hospital but works collaboratively across our HealthPartners Family of Care Laboratories which spans across our six other suburban hospitals and over twenty clinics in our network. Under the direction of the Laboratory Operations Manager this role will be responsible for direct supervision of the assigned laboratory staff and is responsible for the development and implementation of training & competency programs for assigned staff. The Anatomic Pathology Operations Supervisor duties include the hiring, scheduling, daily oversight, coaching and discipline of staff members as well as yearly performance evaluations. You will also participate as a member of the laboratory leadership team, and will collaborate with other laboratory leaders within our laboratory network. This position also requires periodic call on the weekends typically a once every five week rotation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in medical lab science, cytotechnology, histotechnology, biology or related field plus specialized training as medical technology.

Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a medical laboratory scientist (MT, MLS), cytotechnologist (CT), histotechnologist (HTL) or pathology assistant (PA) in one or more areas of a clinical or hospital laboratory.

Licensure/Registration/Certification: Must be certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologists or equivalent professional organization in one of the above categories. Certification must be maintained by acquiring continuing education requirements of the certifying agency when applicable.

Preferred:

Previous Leadership experience in the laboratory in a Health Care environment.
