Responsibilities

Req ID: 59489
Competent turnover of OR rooms
Knowledge, maintenance and basic trouble shooting knowledge of anesthesia equipment
Set-up of gas machines, including set-up for malignant hypothermia cases, OR, OB, ECT, MICC, XRAY, MRI, CV, Lab, POCC, and PACU
Deliver anesthesia supplies and drugs to ORs
Demonstrates understanding of their role in developing and maintaining an environment that is safe for patients, visitor and employees
Supply and maintainoxygen tanks, in conjunction with surgical support specialists for patient transport, MRI, ECT, PACU, POCC
Change nitrous oxide tanks that supply OR rooms
Test defibrillator machines daily
Monthly restock Dr. Blue trays
Restock specialty carts and baskets
Orientate SRNAs to anesthesia workroom and assist with learning of anesthesia equipment

Education

High school graduate
Preferred, graduate from a Certified Nursing Assistant Program

Qualification/Skills

Experience
Inhalation therapy or equipment service experience preferred

Skills
Good communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of anesthesia materials
Must meet physical criteria

Licensure/Certifications
Nursing Assistant or Central Processing certificate preferred
No disciplinary action in the last 6 months
